Unlock Your Potential as a Performer
Are you prepared to shine in your next audition?
My mission is to empower young actors to discover and LOVE their own process. To embrace the mess and make it their map!
They have all the tools they need, they just need to know which questions to ask.
What if you loved auditioning and felt confident, proud, and ready?
Every. Single. Time.
But right now, before every audition…
You feel stuck - you don’t even know where to begin
You’re nervous, rushed, tense - how are you going to figure this out with so little time and so many people judging your work
You’re confused - you know something’s not working but you don’t know what it is or how to fix it
You’re doubting - your ability, your instinct, your technique
You feel limited by past experiences
You feel defeated before you take your first step
You wonder if you should even continue acting
You need help
Great News - It’s Not About You!!
At least not in the way you may think.
So, you’re not too tall or too short. There’s nothing wrong with your voice. Your clothes are totally fine. Your hair looks great and it doesn’t matter who you know – or don’t.
Wait a Second -
So, Who Is It About Then?
It’s about the character, the other characters and actors, and the audience – even if that is an audience of one. In an office. Or on Zoom.
By taking the focus off yourself, your audience will see an ‘unself-conscious you’ in action, and who you ARE (without your judgment!) will have the space to peek through.
The question NOT to be asking: What do they want?
They don’t know…exactly. (And they haven’t met you yet.)
To stand out and captivate an audience, you need to learn the right tools to:
Break down and reveal essential character and scene elements
Find the places where you and the character intersect - and those where you need to stretch to meet
Develop a positive, playful, and
resilient mindset
It gets easier each time, so you won’t need me once you get the hang of it.
Let me show you how!
About Me
I’ve been a professional actress for almost 30 years.
After graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in Theatre, I left Chicago and headed to New York where I worked on and off Broadway before making my way out west to Los Angeles where I have worked in TV as a series regular, recurring character and guest star, and in film and commercials.
Along the way, I have taught and coached actors. I love acting because it has taught me so much about myself, others, and how to work with others. I love actors because they are some of the most compassionate, soul-searching, resilient, and curious people I know. I’m Lauren, and I can’t wait to meet you!

Working with Lauren has been a game-changer for my son Jensen. Not only does she help elevate every scene he works on, but she teaches him how to act in the process. She has an incredible ability to break things down in a way that clicks—focusing on listening, specificity, and really staying present in the moment. Jensen has grown so much under her guidance, both in skill and confidence. Lauren isn’t just a coach—she’s a true mentor, and we’re so grateful for her talent, dedication, and support.
